Event Details

Howie Hawkins is the original Green New Dealer! Howie was the first candidate to run on a fully developed Green New Deal in 2010, combining an Economic Bill of Rights to jobs, income, housing, health care, and education with 100% clean energy by 2030 in order to reconstruct the economy for economic justice and climate safety. He is also one of the original Greens in the United States, having participated in the first national meeting to organize a US Green Party in St. Paul, Minnesota in August 1984. In July he was nominated to be the 2020 Presidential candidate for the Green Party.

Meet Howie in person at a safe, socially distanced Meet & Greet from 6 – 8 p.m. ET at The Downtown Farm Stand, 125 E Main St, Muncie, IN 47305.

Howie is coming to Muncie, Indiana to talk to Greens and independent progressives about tackling problems that the Democrats and the Republicans won’t touch — from re-building the economy from the economic crash brought on by the coronavirus, to his vision for economic and racial justice, community control of the police, and tackling the environmental crisis looming from climate change. Howie will talk about his Ecosocialist Green New Deal and how it presents real solutions that can’t wait. Don’t get lost in the sauce and don’t miss this exciting opportunity to meet Howie Hawkins in person!

Please note that masks are required for attendance.

Many thanks to the Green Party of the United States’ National Black Caucus for co-sponsoring and organizing this event.
