Petitioning for ballot access is already underway in Vermont, and we need your help. The Howie Hawkins campaign will need to collect 1,000 valid signatures before August 3rd, 2020  just to get Howie on the ballot as an independent in the state.

Vermont is unusual in that it requires the organizing of ten town caucus meetings for statewide party ballot access as opposed to requiring petition signatures. Official meetings must be organized in ten townships, with town chapter leaders being elected in each, as well as advance notice given to the town clerk. All of these meetings had to have been organized prior to the end of 2019. While we were able to organize a handful of meetings, we were unable to organize enough to assure our ballot access for 2020.

This means the Howie Hawkins campaign will have to petition for ballot access as an independent candidate in order to get on the ballot in Vermont.
