On Saturday afternoon, Green Party presidential candidate Howie Hawkins will speak in Townsend Park in Albany. Hawkins is running a national race this year, but he’s no stranger to New York state politics — running for governor in the last three elections. Hawkins says the goal of this year’s campaign is to raise the progressive party’s profile and earn future ballot slots.
