The Alameda County chapter of the Peace and Freedom Party hosts a monthly “Suds, Snacks and Socialism” forum – traditionally at the Starry Plough pub, but since Covid, online via Zoom. The October 2020 forum presented “three Socialist Perspectives on the Presidential Election” – featuring the Peace and Freedom Party and Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) candidate, Gloria La Riva; the Green Party candidate, Howie Hawkins; and Ted Franklin, with System Change Not Climate Change, arguing for a vote for Biden.
